What is Reiki?

Reiki is an ancient spiritual art of healing. It is being used increasingly by doctors, nurses and other health care practitioners. Reiki is a Japanese word: ‘Rei’ meaning “light”, and ‘Ki’ meaning “life energy”. The session is performed by a Reiki Practitioner (RP or RMT) using specific hand positions.

The practitioner acts as a conduit of “Universal Energy” to open blockages in the body. During a Reiki session, the client is fully clothed, while reclining on a massage table or seated in a chair.

A Reiki session aids in stress reduction and generates a sense of well-being and balance for the recipient.

Holy Fire Reiki is new form of Reiki being introduced by the International Center for Reiki Training. It is noticeably more refined and powerful.

Reiki has scientifically been validated and is in use in hundreds of hospitals around the world as an effective adjunct tool for healing from surgery, pain, stress and in specifically in oncology. It is a powerful tool at end-of-life for both the person and the caregivers, as it provides a peaceful environment for the process.
